Sunbury WWTP, Retrofit Baffle Wall
Sunbury WWTP, Retrofit Baffle Wall
This waste water treatment plant located 40km north-west of Melbourne provides water to irrigate local sporting fields, golf courses and wineries, amongst other facilities. Our client was awarded the contract to design, build and operate the facility.
To address the plant’s ongoing operational requirements, Treadwell was engaged to design, engineer and fabricate a baffle wall that would facilitate improved water flow.
Project Challenges
- Delivery and installation of the walls would impact on other parts of the maintenance shutdown schedule and needed to be completed within a very tight timeframe.
- The client required designing, engineering calculation and reports. Treadwell was selected to provide this turnkey solution as we were able to offer all capabilities under one roof.

Treadwell Products :
- EcoEX™ FRP Baffle Walls
Treadwell Solution
- EcoEX™ engineered FRP baffle walls are an effective solution to meet requirements in wastewater treatment flow control.
- These panels are corrosion resistant and are cost effective.
- EcoEX™ baffle walls are built to withstand repeated cyclic loading conditions and fluid dynamic pressures.
- FRP is simply fabricated and modified on site. This means there is no need for any hot works permit.
- Being lightweight and easy to install, FRP is very manageable during construction.
- Given the nature of FRP, any system utilising it is virtually maintenance free, keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.
